I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
